Payment processors
PayPal
PayPal balance and cards on PayPal's own approval page, captured server-side when the customer returns. Apple Pay and Google Pay ride on the same connection.
At a glance

- Currencies
- Whatever your PayPal account accepts.
- Confirmation
- Automatic. The processor tells Sellstamp, and the order is paid and delivered with no action from you.
- Refunds
- From the order page. The refund goes back through the processor.
- Subscriptions
- No. One-off purchases only.
What you need
- A REST app's client ID and secret
- The ID of the webhook you register for that app
Connecting it
- In the PayPal developer dashboard, create a REST app under your business account.
- Add a webhook pointed at the URL the payment settings page shows you, and note its ID.
- Paste the client ID, secret and webhook ID into Payments → PayPal, then run the connection test.
- For Apple Pay, register your store's domain in PayPal and paste the domain-association file PayPal gives you into the same form.
Worth knowing
- Disputes and claims are handled in PayPal's Resolution Center. Sellstamp records them on the order.
