Email marketing and CRM

Newsletters and follow-ups from Sellstamp itself, and syncing your customers to Mailchimp, Kit, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Google Sheets or Notion.

Who may be emailed

A customer receives marketing email only if they ticked your marketing box at checkout. It starts unticked, and buying something is not consent to marketing. The same check runs at the moment of every send, so an unsubscribe takes effect immediately. Receipts, delivery and licence emails are not marketing and always go out.

Sending from Sellstamp

Marketing → Campaigns sends a broadcast to customers who opted in. Two automatic emails can go out a set number of days after purchase: a follow-up and a review request. Every message carries a one-click unsubscribe.

Email services

Connect one under Store settings. Opt-ins are added to your chosen list or tag, and unsubscribes are mirrored. Sellstamp stays the record of who consented, and the email service follows it.

Mailchimp
One audience. Purchase data is written to two merge fields, LASTORDER and TOTALSPENT.
Kit
Kit has no lists, so you pick a tag that marks a Sellstamp customer. Kit cannot resubscribe someone by API, so those are shown separately rather than as failures.
Klaviyo
One list. A purchase is sent as a Placed Order event, which never changes anyone's consent.

CRM and spreadsheets

HubSpot
A contact and a deal for every order, whether or not the customer opted into marketing, because a customer record is not marketing. A refund moves the deal to the stage you pick.
Google Sheets
A row per order in a sheet you share with Sellstamp's service account.
Notion
A row per order in a database you share with the integration.

Connecting safely

Connecting or replacing an integration asks you to confirm your identity. Keys are stored encrypted and never shown again. A slow or broken integration never delays a checkout, because syncs are queued and retried in the background.
