BTCPay Server
Bitcoin and Lightning, paid straight from the customer's wallet to yours through a BTCPay Server you run or share. Nobody holds the coins in between.
At a glance
- Where
- Anywhere. There is no account to open with anyone and no identity check.
- Currencies
- Invoices are priced in your store's currency. BTCPay converts at its own rate when the invoice is created, and you are paid in bitcoin.
- Confirmation
- Automatic. The processor tells Sellstamp, and the order is paid and delivered with no action from you.
- Refunds
- Not through Sellstamp. Return the money yourself, then record the refund on the order.
- Subscriptions
- No. One-off purchases only.
What you need
- Your server's URL and store ID
- A Greenfield API key from your server
- The secret of the webhook you register there
Connecting it
- On your BTCPay Server, create a Greenfield API key for the store and a webhook pointed at the URL shown on the payment settings page.
- Paste the server URL, store ID, API key and webhook secret into Payments → BTCPay Server, then run the connection test.
Worth knowing
- Refunds are issued from BTCPay's own invoice page. Sellstamp has no way to hand the customer a claim link.
- The server URL must be on the public internet. Private and loopback addresses are refused.
