Press

Everything you need to write about us accurately.

The marks, the palette, and a description you can quote without checking it with us first. There is no coverage wall on this page because there is no coverage yet, and a press page that pads itself is the first thing a journalist notices.

The marks

Sellstamp

Rendered by the same components the site uses, so this cannot fall out of date with it.

Boilerplate

Three lengths. Every one of them describes what the product does today; none contains a customer count, a funding figure or a superlative, because we would have had to make those up.

One line
Sellstamp is a platform for selling digital products — storefronts, checkout, licence keys and subscriptions, on your own domain.
One paragraph
Sellstamp is a commerce platform for people selling digital products. A merchant gets a storefront on their own domain, connects a payment provider they already hold an account with, and Sellstamp handles checkout, delivery and licensing — file downloads, generated licence keys, serial pools, subscriptions and physical goods, in four built-in languages plus any the merchant imports. It charges a monthly fee rather than a percentage of sales, and never holds merchant funds: money moves from the customer directly into the merchant's own provider account.
The distinguishing fact
Sellstamp settles nothing and holds no balance. Every payment goes from the customer to the merchant's own provider account, on that account's terms, which is why the product has no payout schedule and no float.
How to write the name
“Sellstamp” — one word, capital S, lower-case s in the middle. Not “SellStamp”, not “Sell Stamp”, not “sellstamp” at the start of a sentence.

The marks

Two, and they do different jobs. Both are drawn in the product rather than kept as image files, which is why this page shows you the marks and the exact values rather than handing you a folder of exports to go stale.

  • The wordmark

The company name, set in the product's own display face. Use it wherever the name is the logo — which is almost everywhere.

  • The mark

A letter S in a violet gradient circle, as an SVG. For favicons, avatars and anywhere a square is required. It never replaces the name in running text.

  • Need a raster?

Ask, and say the size and background you need it against. We would rather send you a correct file than have you screenshot this page.

Using them

Use the wordmark for the company
“Sellstamp”, one word, capital S, no camel case and no space. It is a wordmark rather than a logotype with a symbol attached, so it does not need the mark beside it.
Use the mark where a square is wanted
Favicons, avatars, app tiles. It is the letter in a circle; it does not carry the name, so do not set it next to the word at small sizes where the two compete.
Give it room, and a dark ground
Clear space of at least the height of the S on every side. The palette is drawn for a dark ground; on a light one, set the wordmark in the ink colour rather than inverting the mark's gradient.
Do not redraw it
No recolouring the gradient, no outlining, no stretching, no drop shadow, no setting it in another typeface, and no locking it up with another logo as though the two were partners.

The palette

Five values carry the whole identity. The accent is one violet, used sparingly — if a layout needs three accents to work, the layout is the problem.

  • Violet

    #7c3aed

The one accent. Buttons, focus, emphasis.

  • Violet light

    #a78bfa

On dark surfaces, and the top of the mark.

  • Violet deep

    #4c1d95

The bottom of a gradient, never a fill on its own.

  • Ink

    #050308

    The page ground. Not black.

  • Panel

    #0b0910

    Cards and raised surfaces.

Getting in touch

Press enquiries go through the contact page, which says plainly what reaches a human and how fast. We would rather send you there than print an address here that turns out to bounce.

What this does not do

  • No coverage, awards or logo wall. There is none yet, and a page that invents one is the first thing anybody checks.
  • No downloadable asset archive. The marks are components, not files; ask and we will send exactly what you need at the size you need it.
  • No executive headshots or biographies. The team is small and does not have a public roster.
  • No customer count, revenue figure, funding number or growth chart. Those are the numbers a press page makes up first, and we have not made any up.
