Where the fees come from
Each preset is the standard rate on the provider’s own pricing page for the stated country, read on 23 October 2026: Stripe 2.9% + $0.30 for US cards (international cards add 1.5%, currency conversion 1%); PayPal Checkout 3.49% + $0.49 and PayPal card payments 2.99% + $0.49 in the US; Paddle and Lemon Squeezy 5% + $0.50 as merchants of record. Your rate can differ by country, volume or contract, so check your own account. Gumroad is not a preset: its pricing page did not make clear whether card processing is charged on top, so use the custom fields with your own figures.
The arithmetic
Fee = price × percentage + fixed fee, rounded to the cent. To receive a set amount, price = (amount + fixed fee) ÷ (1 − percentage), rounded up so you are never a cent short.
