JSON to CSV

Convert a JSON array of objects to CSV in your browser, with nested fields as dotted columns, ready for Excel, Google Sheets or an import.

Stays on your device

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Sellstamp or anyone else.

Building something to sell?

Sellstamp has a storefront, a checkout into your own payment account, automatic delivery and an API with webhooks. Open a free store

How to use it

  1. Paste a JSON array (or a single object).
  2. Pick the delimiter: comma, or semicolon for Excel in many European locales.
  3. Copy or download the CSV.

Nothing you paste leaves this page

The conversion runs in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to Sellstamp or anyone else, which matters for configuration files, customer exports and tokens.

How the columns are made

Every key that appears in any object becomes a column, in the order first seen. A nested object becomes dotted columns (address.city); arrays and null are written as JSON text in the cell. Values with commas, quotes or line breaks are quoted as RFC 4180 specifies, so spreadsheet programs read them correctly.

Questions

Why does Excel put everything in one column?

In many European locales Excel expects semicolons. Choose “Semicolon” as the delimiter.

What happens to nested objects?

They become dotted columns such as address.city. Arrays are kept as JSON text in one cell.

Do all objects need the same keys?

No. Missing keys become empty cells.

Is my data uploaded?

No. The conversion happens in your browser.
