WebP to JPG

Convert WebP images to JPG in your browser, for apps and sites that do not accept WebP. Nothing is uploaded.

Converted in this tab, never uploaded.

80 to 90 looks the same as the original for photos.

Your file stays on your device

Your browser opens and processes the file itself. It is never uploaded, to Sellstamp or anyone else, and nothing is kept after you close the page.

Selling images?

Photos, templates, presets or artwork: Sellstamp gives them a storefront and delivers the files automatically after payment. Open a free store

How to use it

  1. Choose or drop your WebP images.
  2. Pick the quality and a background for transparent areas.
  3. Convert and download.

Your images are not uploaded

Your browser opens the image, does the work in this tab, and saves the result back to your device. Nothing is sent to Sellstamp or anyone else, so there is no upload to wait for and no copy on a server afterwards.

Why WebP files need converting

Images saved from websites are often WebP. Browsers show it, but some older editing programs, upload forms and print services still ask for JPG. Converting decodes the WebP and saves it as JPG; transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose.

Questions

Why did my downloaded image save as WebP?

Many sites serve WebP to save bandwidth, so “Save image” keeps that format. Convert it here if another program needs JPG.

Will it lose quality?

A little, as with any lossy re-save. At 90% it is not visible.

What about animated WebP?

Only the first frame is converted. JPG cannot hold an animation.

Can I keep transparency?

Not in JPG. Convert WebP to PNG instead, which keeps it.
