Image color picker

Pick any colour from an image by clicking it, and copy it as HEX, RGB, HSL or OKLCH. Works with the keyboard too, in your browser.

Opened in this tab, never uploaded.

Your file stays on your device

Your browser opens and processes the file itself. It is never uploaded, to Sellstamp or anyone else, and nothing is kept after you close the page.

Selling images?

Photos, templates, presets or artwork: Sellstamp gives them a storefront and delivers the files automatically after payment. Open a free store

How to use it

  1. Choose an image.
  2. Move over it to see the colour under the pointer.
  3. Click (or press Enter) to keep a colour.
  4. Click a value to copy it.

Your images are not uploaded

Your browser opens the image, does the work in this tab, and saves the result back to your device. Nothing is sent to Sellstamp or anyone else, so there is no upload to wait for and no copy on a server afterwards.

Exact pixels

The colour is read from the image at its full resolution, not from a scaled preview, so a click on a thin line picks the line. Up to twelve picked colours are kept in the list.

With a keyboard

Tab to the image, move the crosshair with the arrow keys (Shift for bigger steps) and press Enter to pick.

Questions

How do I get the hex code of a colour in an image?

Click the colour in the image; the hex code appears with RGB, HSL and OKLCH. Click any value to copy it.

What is OKLCH?

A CSS colour format that matches how people perceive lightness, useful for building consistent palettes.

Why does the colour differ slightly from my design file?

Images may be saved with a colour profile, and JPG compression shifts colours a little. The value shown is the pixel as your browser decodes it.

Can I get all the main colours at once?

Use the colour palette from image tool.
