GIF maker

Make an animated GIF from a set of images in your browser: set the order, the time per frame, the size and whether it loops. Nothing is uploaded.

Two or more images, in the order they should play. Made in this tab, never uploaded.

Up to 1200. Height follows the first frame.

Your file stays on your device

Your browser opens and processes the file itself. It is never uploaded, to Sellstamp or anyone else, and nothing is kept after you close the page.

Selling images?

Photos, templates, presets or artwork: Sellstamp gives them a storefront and delivers the files automatically after payment. Open a free store

How to use it

  1. Choose or drop two or more images.
  2. Put them in the order they should play.
  3. Set the time per frame, the width and looping.
  4. Make the GIF and download it.

Your images are not uploaded

Your browser opens the image, does the work in this tab, and saves the result back to your device. Nothing is sent to Sellstamp or anyone else, so there is no upload to wait for and no copy on a server afterwards.

GIF limits

GIF can show only 256 colours per frame, so photos get slightly grainy and smooth gradients show bands; logos, screenshots and illustrations look best. Large GIFs are heavy: keep the width modest (480 pixels is plenty for chat and email) and the frame count low.

Questions

How fast should the frames change?

500 ms is a calm slideshow; 100 ms is smooth motion. Browsers treat delays under about 20 ms as slower, so very fast GIFs play slower than set.

Why do my photos look grainy?

GIF has 256 colours per frame. For photos, a short video or WebP animation looks better.

Can I make a GIF that plays once?

Yes. Untick “Loop forever”.

How many frames can I use?

Up to 100 images.
