Base64 to image

Paste Base64 or a data URL and see the image it contains, then download it as a file with the right extension. Decoded in your browser.

Decoded in this tab. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Stays on your device

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Sellstamp or anyone else.

Selling images?

Photos, templates, presets or artwork: Sellstamp gives them a storefront and delivers the files automatically after payment. Open a free store

How to use it

  1. Paste the Base64 text or data URL.
  2. Check the preview.
  3. Download the image.

Your images are not uploaded

Your browser opens the image, does the work in this tab, and saves the result back to your device. Nothing is sent to Sellstamp or anyone else, so there is no upload to wait for and no copy on a server afterwards.

What it accepts

A full data URL (data:image/png;base64,…), or bare Base64, with or without line breaks, including the URL-safe variant with - and _. The image type is read from the decoded bytes themselves, so the extension of the download is right even when the data URL claims something else.

Questions

How do I convert Base64 to a PNG?

Paste the text; if it decodes to a PNG, the preview appears and the download is a .png file.

Why does it say it is not an image?

The text decodes to something else, such as a PDF or plain text, or it was cut off when copied.

Does it work without the data: prefix?

Yes. Bare Base64 is fine; the type is detected from the content.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. It is decoded in your browser.
