Add UTM parameters to a link (source, medium, campaign, term and content) so your analytics show which newsletter, post or ad brought visitors.

The full address the link should open.

Where it is shared: newsletter, instagram.

The kind of link: email, social, cpc.

Your name for it: october-sale.

To tell two links in one email apart.

Stays on your device

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Sellstamp or anyone else.

Building something to sell?

Sellstamp has a storefront, a checkout into your own payment account, automatic delivery and an API with webhooks. Open a free store

How to use it

  1. Paste the page URL.
  2. Fill in source, medium and campaign.
  3. Copy the tagged link and use it in your newsletter, post or ad.

Nothing you paste leaves this page

The conversion runs in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to Sellstamp or anyone else, which matters for configuration files, customer exports and tokens.

Keep the names consistent

Analytics tools group visits by the exact text of each parameter, so “Newsletter” and “newsletter” count separately. Use lowercase and the same words every time. Existing UTM parameters on the URL are replaced; other parameters are kept.

Questions

What are UTM parameters?

Tags added to a link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) that analytics tools read to tell you where a visit came from.

Which fields are required?

Source, medium and campaign. Term and content are optional.

Should I use UTM links on my own site?

No. Internal links with UTM tags overwrite the original source of the visit.

Do UTM parameters affect SEO?

Not directly. Use a canonical tag on the page so tagged links are treated as the same page.
