Split PDF

Split a PDF into several files: every N pages, by page ranges you type, or at each top-level bookmark. Each part downloads on its own or all together as a zip.

Choose or drop a PDF. It is opened in this tab and never uploaded.

Your file stays on your device

Your browser opens and processes the file itself. It is never uploaded, to Sellstamp or anyone else, and nothing is kept after you close the page.

How to use it

  1. Choose the PDF.
  2. Pick how to split: every N pages, by ranges such as 1-3; 4-10, or at bookmarks.
  3. Press “Split the PDF”.
  4. Download the parts one by one, or all of them as a zip.

Your files are not uploaded

The PDF is put together by this browser tab. Your files are read from your device, processed here, and the result is handed back to you as a download. Nothing is sent to Sellstamp or anyone else, so there is no copy on a server to worry about afterwards, and no upload to wait for.

Three ways to split

Every N pages cuts the file into equal parts, with a shorter last part if the pages do not divide evenly. By ranges makes one file per range you type, separated by semicolons, so “1-3; 4-10; 11-” makes three files and “11-” runs to the end. At bookmarks starts a new file at each top-level bookmark, which for a report or a book is usually each chapter.

Quality

Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so every part is exactly as sharp as the original. Each part may be a little larger than its share of the original, because fonts and images used on several pages are repeated in every part that needs them.

Questions

How do I split a PDF into single pages?

Choose “Every N pages” and set it to 1. Every page becomes its own PDF, and they all download together as a zip.

Can I split at chapters?

If the PDF has bookmarks, choose “At bookmarks”: a new file starts at each top-level bookmark.

Can a page appear in more than one part?

Yes, with ranges: 1-5; 5-10 puts page 5 in both.

Why are the parts bigger than I expected?

Fonts and images shared between pages are included in each part that uses them, so the parts together can be larger than the original.

How do I just take a few pages out?

Use the extract PDF pages tool, which makes one file from the pages you choose.
