PNG to PDF

Turn PNG images, screenshots or graphics into a PDF, a page each, with transparent areas shown on a white page and no loss in quality. Nothing is uploaded.

Choose or drop PNG images. Transparent areas sit on a white page. Nothing is uploaded.

Orientation

Your file stays on your device

Your browser opens and processes the file itself. It is never uploaded, to Sellstamp or anyone else, and nothing is kept after you close the page.

Selling a PDF?

An ebook, a guide or a workbook: Sellstamp gives it a storefront and delivers it automatically the moment someone pays. Open a free store

How to use it

  1. Choose or drop your PNG images.
  2. Put them in order and turn any that need it.
  3. Pick the page size and margin.
  4. Press “Make the PDF” and download it.

Your files are not uploaded

The PDF is put together by this browser tab. Your files are read from your device, processed here, and the result is handed back to you as a download. Nothing is sent to Sellstamp or anyone else, so there is no copy on a server to worry about afterwards, and no upload to wait for.

Transparency

PNG can be transparent; a PDF page is white. Transparent areas of your image are kept as transparency inside the PDF, so they show the white page behind them, and a logo with soft edges keeps its soft edges. Nothing is flattened onto a coloured background.

Quality

PNG is lossless, and it stays lossless in the PDF: the image data is stored without JPEG compression, so text in a screenshot stays crisp. The trade-off is size. A PDF of large PNG screenshots is larger than the same images saved as JPG; if size matters more than crispness, convert them to JPG first.

Questions

Will my transparent PNG get a black background?

No. Transparency is kept in the PDF, so transparent areas show the white page.

Why is the PDF bigger than I expected?

PNG data is lossless and is kept that way. Screenshots and graphics stay crisp, but a photo saved as PNG is large; save photos as JPG and use JPG to PDF for a smaller file.

Can I mix PNG and JPG images in one PDF?

Yes, with the image to PDF tool, which takes both, and WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF too.

Is there a size limit?

Up to 200 images and 60 MB per image, and no more than 100 megapixels per image, so a damaged or hostile file cannot freeze your browser.
