# Subscriptions > Monthly or yearly products with an optional trial, billed by your payment provider. Today that means Stripe. Page: https://sellstamp.com/docs/products/subscriptions ## Which providers can bill one Only [Stripe](https://sellstamp.com/docs/payments/stripe) can bill a subscription. A subscription product offered through any other method is refused at checkout before anything is created, so no customer is ever charged once and then never again. ## Setting one up 1. Connect Stripe, including the second webhook signing secret for the subscription route. Without it, checkout refuses subscription products. 2. Create a product of type Subscription and choose monthly or yearly, and a trial length if you want one. Zero days charges immediately. 3. Publish it. It sells through the same checkout as everything else. ## What you and the customer can do - Move a customer to another plan.
