# Coupons

> Discount codes: a percentage or a fixed amount, with an optional end date, use limit, minimum order and product.

## Creating a coupon

**Products → Coupons**. A code is unique within your store and matched without regard to case.

- **Discount**: A percentage (up to 100) or a fixed amount.
- **Applies to**: The whole order, or one product.
- **Maximum uses**: Counted when an order is paid, not when a code is typed in.
- **Expiry**: After this date the code stops working.
- **Minimum order**: The order has to reach this amount first.

## Sharing a code

A [checkout link](https://sellstamp.com/docs/developers/checkout-links) can arrive with the code already filled in. If the code has since expired or run out, the link still works: the box is simply empty.

## Where codes do not apply

- Bundles.
- Subscription products.
