# Notifications

> How you and your team hear about orders, payments, deliveries and problems, and where each alert goes.

## Channels

- **In-app**: The inbox under Notifications, updated live.
- **Email**: To your account's address.
- **Discord**: A channel webhook you paste in. Only real Discord webhook URLs are accepted.
- **Telegram**: Your own bot, made with @BotFather, posting to a chat you choose. You paste its token and the chat ID.
- **Web Push**: Browser notifications, per browser you turn them on in.

## Choosing what goes where

**Notifications → Preferences** sets, for each category (orders, payments, fulfilment, billing, products, system), which channels you want. Preferences are personal: each teammate sets their own. You can set a default for every store and override it for one.

## What you cannot turn off

Security alerts, such as a password change, a new sign-in method or two-factor being turned off, are always sent. They are not stored as preferences, so nothing can switch them off.
